Spec-Static is a safe AND functional design. 100% Low Elongation Polyester [LEP] sheath and core. The sheath is 100% solution dyed, high strength polyester. The 9.0 mm Spec-Static packs a whalloping 5139 lbf. 3 sigma rated tensile strength! LEP should not be used as a Belay/Safety line in Technical Rescue Operations.
